INGESOM implements the Energy Management Software for a minerals processing company located in Castellón de la Plana. It consists of a platform developed entirely by INGESOM and a customized development to fit customer needs. The objective is to reduce the costs derived from the electrical and gas consumption in the plant, through the detection of energy surcharges and the notification of anomalies at the same time that they occur.
The Energy Management Software monitors energy consumption by installing meters located at strategic points in the factory, such as the general connection, the distribution points and each of the main machines.
The minerals processing company had an added problem, it suffered many voltage drops that affected the machines, even going so far as to shut down mills, which interrupted the normal process of the factory and it was necessary to start again, with the delay in time and costs that it implies . With INGESOM’s Energy Management Software, this situation has been resolved through real-time monitoring and the sending of alarms to reduce the reaction time in the event of voltage drops.
In addition, INGESOM installs headend meters with a lower margin of error that allows the customer to see the quality of supply, detect spikes and obtain a reliable record of voltage drops and micro-drops that have occurred, in order to have more negotiating strength with energy suppliers.
INGESOM also develops the management web application, with rapid development software tools and intelligent graphics, so that the client can quickly and intuitively see the state of the plant at a single glance and in real time. Likewise, it is possible to consult multiple graphical reports, both standard and personalized by the client, in order to monitor the consumption of the entire plant and to cross energy data with any of its equipment and thus detect possible incidents such as the stopping of a machine that should be running.
To optimize control over the factory, the management web application offers the possibility of accessing it from any device, factory point, or even from outside the factory through a VPN connection. All the functionalities of the application contribute to the client having a greater knowledge in real time of their installation, reducing reaction times to any anomaly and optimizing production planning.
