INGESOM implements Energy Management System and integrates production data in EUROARCE

INGESOM implements the Energy Management System in the production center of the company EUROARCE located in Onda (Castellón), Spanish leader in raw materials for the ceramic industry, and integrates the production data to centralize all the information in a single database, which will allow you to cross data and obtain useful information such as the production obtained and its associated energy costs.
EUROARCE encompasses the raw materials division for the ceramics industry within the SAMCA Group, present in the Mining, Renewable Energies, Plastic Polymers, Synthetic Fibers, Agri-Food, Real Estate Development, Agrochemicals and Logistics Infrastructures sectors. Overall, SAMCA directly employs approximately 3,500 people in Spain, France, Italy, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.
Processing and commercialization in the main ceramic markets is carried out through Euroarce Materias Primas SA in Ariño (Teruel), which grinds, washes and calcines clays and kaolins; Euroarce S.R.L. in Civita Castellana (Viterbo, Italy), which manufactures pastes and glazes for sanitary ceramics; and SAMCA Onda and EUROARCE CERAMICAS in Onda (Castellón), which specialize in the processing of raw materials and the manufacture of atomized pastes for ceramic floor and wall tiles.
The Energy Management Software monitors energy consumption through the installation of meters placed at strategic points in the factory, such as the general connection, distribution points and each of the main machines. In addition, it allows to define and monitor alarms, configure their limits according to the customer’s needs and give warnings as soon as an anomalous situation such as a power peak occurs. The notification of incidents and the detection of energy cost overruns give the customer greater control, reduce reaction times and achieve significant savings in the plant’s electricity and gas costs.
The general overview of the Web management application developed by INGESOM allows the client to consult at a glance the general status of the plant in a simple and intuitive way. The main dryer and mill indicators (tons, energy and efficiency) can also be viewed, along with comparative graphs showing data from previous days and months in relation to current data. In this way, it is possible to detect when there is a decrease in productivity in the plant, investigate the origin and take decisions to correct it as soon as possible.
With the Web management application, the customer can access the information from any device, from any point in the factory and even from outside the factory through a VPN connection. This functionality guarantees greater control over the factory at all times and a reduction in the reaction time to any incident that may occur, increasing the plant’s efficiency and its bottom line at the end of the year.
